Adam Roland, an Iowa State senior from Grand Island, Neb., who's studying aerospace engineering, builds a model "flying rod" in an Iowa State laboratory. Tom Phillips, a producer with amovie company inc., records the process for The History Channel's "Monsterquest" series.
