MARKETING, SUPPLY CHAIN EXPERT TO SPEAK APRIL 23 AT ISU

AMES, Iowa -- Patricia Daugherty, the Siegfried Chair in Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the Michael F. Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma, Norman, has been named the Miller Lecturer for the College of Business.

Daugherty will speak on "I Know That I Ordered It, But I Changed My Mind: The Challenges of Reverse Logistics," 9:45 a.m., Wednesday, April 23, in room 205 Carver Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

Daugherty is director of the newly created Division of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at Oklahoma and is also the editor of the Journal of Business Logistics. Her research includes logistical trends, customer service/satisfaction and strategic alliances.

Prior to joining the Oklahoma faculty, Daugherty worked as a buyer for A&P's National Produce Division and has consulted with many major corporations, including Digital Equipment Corp., Nabisco Foods and United Parcel Service.

The Miller Lecture Series is an annual slate of university-wide speakers funded by the Miller Endowment Trust. In 1995, Iowa State received part of an estate bequeathed by F. Wendell Miller, an Iowa attorney and farm manager. Revenue from the endowment is used to improve undergraduate teaching at Iowa State and enhance the intellectual vitality of the campus.
